Beta Testing Agreement

Absolute View · Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-10-23

Every Absolute View beta tester signs this standard agreement for testing the UI when they sign up. In short: test it, tell us what you find, and don’t share, distribute or change the beta builds.

Absolute View Beta Testing Agreement

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-10-23

This agreement is between Absolute Gaming LLC (“Absolute Gaming”, “we”, “us”), and you, the person signing up to test Absolute View before its public release (“you”). You sign it electronically by typing your full name and selecting “I agree” on the sign-up form. Your electronic signature has the same effect as a handwritten one.

1. What this agreement covers

“Beta Materials” means everything we give you or let you see as a tester that has not been publicly released by us, including: pre-release builds of Absolute View and their code, files, textures, fonts, icons, artwork and sounds; interface designs, mockups, screenshots and videos; download links and passwords; and information about unreleased features, plans or release dates.

2. Permission to test

We give you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Beta Materials on your own World of Warcraft accounts, for the sole purpose of testing Absolute View and giving us feedback. This licence lasts until the agreement ends. You may not let anyone else use your access.

3. What you agree not to do

Unless we give you written permission first, you will not:

  1. Share any Beta Materials, including download links, with anyone, by any means: messages, Discord, forums, social media, file-sharing sites or in person.
  2. Distribute any Beta Materials: upload, post, mirror, sell, rent, lend or give away copies, whether changed or unchanged.
  3. Modify any Beta Materials: change, adapt, translate, decompile or reverse-engineer them, copy their code, artwork or designs into anything else, or make new works based on them. Changing Absolute View’s own in-game settings is fine.
  4. Show the Beta Materials publicly, including screenshots, video clips, live streams or recordings of a pre-release build.
  5. Remove or change any copyright notice, credit or watermark.

4. Keeping it confidential

You will keep the Beta Materials confidential and take reasonable care to stop anyone else from getting them. This does not apply to anything we have released publicly ourselves, or that became public without any fault of yours. Your confidentiality duty for each piece of Beta Materials lasts until we release it publicly. If you learn that Beta Materials have been shared, tell us right away at support@absolutegaming.store.

5. Ownership

Absolute Gaming owns Absolute View and all Beta Materials, including all copyrights and other rights in them. This agreement does not transfer any ownership to you. Any right not clearly given to you here is kept by us.

6. Your feedback

Bug reports, ideas and suggestions you send us (“Feedback”) help us build Absolute View. You give Absolute Gaming a permanent, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, change and include your Feedback in our addons and other work, without payment or credit owed to you.

7. Testing is voluntary and unpaid

Testing is free and voluntary. You will not be paid, and this agreement does not make you an employee, contractor or partner of Absolute Gaming. We may choose who takes part and how many testers we accept.

8. Beta builds can have problems

Beta Materials are unfinished and provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. They may have bugs, change or reset your interface settings, or conflict with other addons. Back up your World of Warcraft WTF folder before testing. You are responsible for following Blizzard Entertainment’s terms and the rules of the realms you play on. To the extent the law allows, Absolute Gaming is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Beta Materials.

9. How this agreement ends

You may leave the beta at any time on the Absolute View page. We may end your participation at any time, for any reason. When the agreement ends, or when we ask, you will stop using and delete all Beta Materials you have. Sections 3 (for anything not yet publicly released), 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 and 11 continue after the agreement ends.

10. If this agreement is broken

Sharing, distributing or modifying Beta Materials could cause us harm that money alone cannot fix. If you break this agreement we may remove you from the beta, suspend or delete your Absolute Gaming account, send takedown notices, and ask a court for an order to stop it, in addition to any other remedy the law allows.

11. General

You confirm you are at least 18 years old. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona. It works together with our Terms of Use; if they conflict about the beta, this agreement wins. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. You may not transfer this agreement to anyone else. If we change it, testers will be asked to sign the new version before getting new builds.
